Most anticipated season start narrative?

I've seen mention from Randy Peterson, Chris Williams, etc...that this is the most anticipated start to a football season ever in ISU history. When, why, and where did that narrative originate? Am I looking forward to what this season brings? Sure, but not any more than several seasons in the past. What am I missing?
