Tastes a little extra sweet today. You can bet the narrative this morning from them is how they gave it away. Just like two years ago, it won't be the better team won. I'd say the better team played like %#|+ for the majority of the game but sacked-up and nutted it out. Think about it. Down by 20 in the second half. That takes some steel my friends. Mark it. As I said two years ago, the hoks will not play that well again against a team as good as our. It is their NBA final to play in Hitlon. They couldn't protect a 20-point second half lead. Good teams are able to do that. But Hilton certainly makes it a LOT harder.
I was sorry to see what happened to Peterson. That will likely get discussed adnauseum. I don't at all begrudge the court storm after that one. The team deserved it. My guess is it will get twisted so we/Hilton are made out to be what's wrong instead of a great example of a tremendous college basketball venue. I believe in the grand scheme of life court-storming is relatively safe.
As I enjoy that cup-o-Joe this morning. I am enjoying the resolve within this team. The most exciting thing is I believe we are approaching out stride under CSP but not yet there. When you think about all the changes this team has had to face, this start is really pretty incredible. When Deonte joins the team, it could get real interesting!
