ACC up next?
Swaim indicated yesterday that something would break free this weekend on the BIG 12. Then a few hours ago, he indicates that 8 teams are exploring leaving the ACC. That is enough votes to dissolve the league and the GOR.
If the ACC is fracturing, there is going to be real panic in the PAC 12 and the left behinds in the ACC. Oregon and Washington may no longer have spots in the Big 10. The Big 10 wants at least 4 schools in the ACC long before considering Oregon and Washington. So I guess I expect to see some teams jump to the BIg 12 just to reserve their spot before the free-for-all starts. Unless the SEC, BIG 10 and Big 12 go to 20-24 schools, there are not enough landing spots. I could see the remnants of the Pac 12 and ACC try to cobble something together, but it won't be great.
Could be an interesting weekend, and then again, maybe not. Again, all rumors, but there seems to be smoke in the air.
