I thought Malone made a huge coaching error in playing his starters too long. They appeared very tired in the 3rd Qtr and Malone left them in allowing Portland to get all the way back into the game. Portland won it in the 4th. I haven't looked at the box score yet but I don't believe Monte got more than just a couple minutes. The Nuggets needed the energy of rested players and didn't get it.
