1. Woke up around 1:30 am Sunday and turned on the tv. The UT-Cal game was still going on. That is 1: 30 am cst and 2:30 am est.
2. Noticed that after three games, Mizzou's largest crowd has been on the road at WVU (60k). Season opener vs E. Michigan was 51k and 57k vs ranked, conference foe Georgia. Mizzou's stadium holds 71k. Speaking of Mizzou attendance, look at their basketball numbers for the last six years: 2015 - 6,295. 2014 - 7,297. 2013 - 8,856. 2012 - 11,996. 2011 - 11,830. 2010 - 11,112. Three year SEC average - 7,483. Three year Big 12 average - 11,646. Nice 36% decline. SECSECSEC!
3. You notice when Alabama and Ole Miss have a 48-43 game, there is not even a whisper from the media about "they don't play defense"?
4. My sister (fairly recent Nebraska football fan when they win). Sent me a text letting me know that she was pulling for the Clones, but that I need to understand it takes time to improve after a coaching change. Gee thanks, sis. I don't know how I managed to miss that over the last 40 years and 8 coaches at ISU. Good to know!
5. Watched the last quarter or so of the UNI-E. Washington game. UNI qb was able to use his legs to give UNI the late lead. EWU won when a fake field goal passing play was successful with less than 40 seconds remaining. UNI qb can run, beyond that they are not especially good. EWU's red field is simply ridiculous.
6. Our team is showing improvement and if recruiting continues it's current trajectory for several years, we have a really good chance.
