The buyout of oner $7 million for Gopher BB Coach Petino if he's fired, has the BOR up in arms. They want oversight of all major coaching hires at the UM. This will make it difficult to find a decent AD, not to mention ALL confidentiality in a coaching hire would go out the window...there would be leaks everywhere. I assume that if Petino is fired after next season, and Fred meets the same fate, Fred would be their top target. If this new power structure happens, that could preclude that from happening.
