The Northern Iowa men's basketball team (3-6, 1-1 MVC) was plagued by a rough night shooting the ball in a 52-49 loss to McNeese State on Friday night.
The Panthers coughed the ball up 18 times on the night, including 11 in the first half. UNI shot just 29% from the field, including 24% in the second half. Their long-range shots weren't much better, hitting on just seven of their 33 shots from beyond the arc. The Panthers were held scoreless for the final two minutes of action which cost them the tight contest.
