Iowa State senior Jameel McKay averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds in three Iowa State wins to share Phillips 66 Big 12 Player of the Week honors with Texas guard Javan Felix.

McKay shot 68.8 percent from the field and was 7-for-10 from the line in wins over Buffalo, Iowa and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He recorded a pair of double-doubles in the three games.

McKay’s best game came against rival Iowa, where he scored 20 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. He was 10-of-12 from the field against the Hawkeyes. He also had a double-double against Buffalo, tallying 11 points and 10 boards. McKay finished the week with 18 points and eight rebounds against UAPB, going 6-for-8 at the free-throw line.

The Milwaukee, Wis., native, has four double-doubles in the first nine games for the Cyclones, who are 9-0 this season.
