For the very short term it may seem like we are in a better place now, but I think there is an uncanny resemblance to what may happen with Hoiberg to what did happen with Sanderson. First Cael did fantastic during his 3 or 4 years here all top 5 finishes, so on the outside when he left it looked like the ISU job was setup for the future (granted Cael took a few recruits with him that really hurt). The first year we had KJ we had a loaded senior class and ended up 2nd or 3rd at NCAA's which was awesome. Those seniors graduated and fast forward now we are 4 or 5 years into KJ's tenure and we have yet to register a top 10 finish. So the correlation I make here is that we are very heavy with seniors right now for basketball and if Fred leaves the new coach will undoubtedly do well the first year, but for the following year when we have 6 or 7 open scholarships we could see a drastic decline for the foreseeable future and that is my biggest fear we could go from being the prom queen to Carrie getting blood dumped on us at the prom in a years span. Then again it's just my thoughts....
