Here is part one of two of the complete transcript from Campbell's most recent availability:

On Jake Campos’ injury and the timeline for from it:

Well there’s certainly a fracture. Just one (bone in the leg). He’s already had surgery. He’s already on the road to recovery from our end. Jake, out on a screen in the scrimmage on Sunday. Just an unfortunate situation. I don’t know exactly what recovery time is. The one nice thing from our end is, we’re not going to rush it. We’re going to make sure it’s healed. If it’s a full season, it’s a full season. If he can come back late in the season, then he’ll come back late in the season. It’s kind of football and it’s a situation that unfortunately happened to Jake and Jake’s a good football player and worked hard to get back. But that’s football.

On the situation now at right tackle:

We didn’t have him all spring so I think that’s a huge positive in terms of guys getting really quality reps. Again, that’s kind of the cards we were dealt and I guess it’s a little bit of a fortunate situation for us cause we had all spring to not have Jake in there. Some guys did some really good things. I think the only thing it does to us is it hurts our depth overall obviously, when you have a guy like that that’s certainly played a little bit. But the next guy’s got to go in and play and kind of step up and see what happens. We’ve got a lot of guys that have played there at least through the spring practices and obviously early through fall camp.

On how Campos is dealing with the injury:

Jake’s a good kid. He’s got great spirit about himself. So I think Jake is one of those guys that, man, it happened. I think he’s obviously frustrated, when you’re a guy that worked really hard to come back from this. But I think Jake knows it’s football, too. It’s a matter of, 18-to-22 years old, a lot of adversity hits in your life, and we’re all defined by how we recover and handle adversity. And he’s a situation for Jake, adversity hit, he’s got to respond and so does our football team.

On offensive linemen playing and training at multiple positions:

There’s so many guys that are playing multiple positions and we’ve been mixing and matching since we got here. So again I think it allows us to handle this situation. It’s not panic mode in our locker room or staff (offices). I feel bad for the kid but obviously it’s football and we’ve got to be able to handle this. It’s a situation where we’ve got to do a really good job of making sure we put the best five guys out there. And maybe it might be six, it might be seven, it might be eight guys that have got to play. But it’s a situation for us where we’ve just got to get the right five.

On center Brian Bobek’s showing through several practices and a scrimmage:

Even on Sunday, Brian was the guy that started at center for us. And so Brian has played outstanding now going into - today was our 13th practice I think this morning. Brian’s had a really, really, really good fall for us. I just got done talking about our kids, either some players are really good one day, really not very good the next day, and some guys are consistently getting better. And Brian’s been the guy for us that’s kind of been our saving grace, really from the beginning of fall camp. Cause he’s been the steady force for us. So I’m really proud of what he’s done. If you said at this moment who’s the starting center, definitely it would be Brian. But again there’s a lot of work left to do. Julian’s (Good-Jones) still playing in there and getting quality reps. Bryce Meeker. And then we’re fluctuating those guys, too, throughout the rest of the offensive line to see where they end up.

On Patrick Scoggins at right guard:

Again, I think the consistency for us. He’s been the guy that’s been really from spring practice through now fall camp - you’re talking 27, 28 practices – he’s been the anchor in there. And I think he’s allowed us to kind of mix and match some of those guys and feel really confident because he’s played really good. And Nick Fett on the other side has played really good. So to me that’s really, that’s huge. And I said it’s like any sport, you really want to be great up the middle. That’s going to be really important for us and I think we feel really confident in the ability of what we have, who we have that can play up the middle for us and be successful. Luckily for us, having Patrick and Nick both being in that same spot from 15 spring practices and now 13 fall camp practices, they’ve really started to anchor in and play really well for us.

On RB David Montgomery not participating in Sunday scrimmage:

He tweaked his ankle and it was more precautionary than anything. He practiced today. So David’s a hundred percent fine. I was more a little bit precautionary. We had a bunch of guys not play, to be honest with you. Some guys have really done some good things and just trying to get quality guys work.
