The wife and I went to the Marion Farmer’s Market this morning and were a little surprised by the anti-Cyclone attitudes there. We pull up in my Jeep Wrangler with the ISU vanity plates, we park by a free water stand and the lady said she liked the Jeep except for one thing (referring to my plates). We just kind of laughed it off and got our free water and walked away. We then were at a stand that sold dog toys and treats. The owner of the stand saw us looking at dog collars and pointed at an ISU collar and said “sorry about that.” I asked him why he was sorry, he then looked and noticed my Cyclone shirt and said “oh.” I said it was classy collar, but am not going to do business with him. I then walked by another guy that looked at my shirt and shook his head.
I have lived in the CR area on and off for 18 years, and it never ceases to amaze me of the blatant disdain for all things ISU. What a sorry bunch those fans are.
