It's a rare Netflix movie that can hold my attention for more than half an hour. The series to be found on there are the same way. For example, I started watching Train to Busan, because as a rule of thumb, I enjoy zombie movies. But I lost interest 15 minutes in.
I have HBO and one other premium channel, but they are all old recycled movies and box office flops lately. Another thing I can't stand about HBO is their endless series of ... series ... Their name is short for Home Box Office. When are they going to start living up to that again and showing more movies?
The one series I did find entertaining on Netflix was Lost in Space and I couldn't wait for season 2. But I did wait, and wait, and wait, and wait. Finally, it comes and I have zero interest in watching it because I've forgotten most of the basic plot points in the two-plus years since it last ran and would have to watch Season 1 over from the beginning to get back up to speed.
I had been DVRing The First 48, and a couple of nights a week, there are marathons of that show. So I would wind up with sometimes as many as 20 The First 48s to watch during the week. I kept them pared down so I only had as many as 10 at any one time, so that kept me entertained for awhile, but then they all started to be repeats of repeats. Finally, I just reset my DVR to record first runs only and I haven't had a single one in over two weeks. I find it difficult to believe that I have watched 18 seasons of The First 48. Each season has 17 episodes. That's 306 shows. I can't have seen that many already.
It's just a really bad time to have nothing to watch. To make matters worse, this pandemic basically wiped out the pilot season on TV, so even though I don't watch many of those, it would have been something different. The only saving grace is that one of my favorite shows, Mountain Men, is going to be starting up again soon.
