So we live in Sgt Bluff which is just south of Sioux City and is actually where Sioux Gateway Airport is. Site of the crash of Flight 232 in 1989. Anyway our eldest son is a senior in a class of around 125. Needless to say we have been going to a lot of grad parties. Talking with parents and grads it appears over 30 seniors are headed to Iowa St this year. A lot of these kids’ parents are Iowa or Nebby fans. It’s been fun to see all the ISU banners at these parties. Yesterday a longtime Iowa fan said he’s converted over to ISU since his older son also goes there. He also said he’s done with Ferenz. Recent classes have seen a similar trend to ISU. Needless to say we hope to have a big SBL tailgate this fall if possible.
I was told yesterday that Jacob Imming grew up an ISU fan, his mom went there too. His dad passed away but the gentleman she's with is an ISU fan. He also told me Jacob’s brothers will pressure him to go to Iowa and if offered he thinks that may be a very strong influence. Jacob is 6’3” and around 210# going into his jr year of h.s. He started on defense and caught over 45 passes on offense playing with 2 senior wr’s who caught 17 td’s between them. He started in bb and high jumped & ran on relays in track as a sophomore.
