Still amazing after all these years that Secretariat's time of 1:59.40 in 1973 is almost 2 seconds better than yesterday's winner 's (Nyquist) time of 2:01.31. Big Red winning the Belmont remains one of my top memories in all of sports. I was 15 at the time and was caught up in the moment.
