I know this has probably been hashed out in another thread, but I can't seem to get over the defensive free throw line debacle at the end of the WVU game. Wish I didn't replay it 4 times. That was absolutely ridiculous and embarrassing.
What maybe has me holding onto to this is the overall lack of recognition from Prohm or anyone on the team about the flawed lack of effort. I continue to hear justifications from all of them about the big wins and how tough the conference is this year. Hard to even watch those press conferences any more and get anything of value from them that would indicate they are getting their heads cranked on straight and the effort is going to be addressed to each other. Even Prohm is covering up the lack of effort in his statements to the reporters when asked directly about rebound being an issue on Tues. Quotes some stat on how we rank in some obscure rebounding category. That's fine, but what about the eye test? Guys aren't willing to commit to full effort and toughness. That stat isn't winning us games when the going gets tough.
It's obvious I do not post on here that often, but obviously have been on the board for many years and a lifelong fan through all of the toughest times and some of the good years too. So disappointing to see us waste this talent. Pre-season I thiought we have had a chance to go places this year beyond anywhere any other team has gone in my lifetime. Just not sure I believe that anymore. Will wait and cheer this out and see what happens, but im one that will need to be convinced again. Sorry and thank you for allowing this rant.
