Have been intrigued trying to sleuth who leaked the "TJ is the pick" and the "Pres Leath tap the brakes" info to a national CBB reporter.
After seeing that a certain person was considered a possible staff hire for TJ and that this person also felt the need to tweet that TJ was the key recruiter for Niang and others, it struck me that this person, Jason Smith (Brewster HC), seems like a good candidate for the leak. A national CBB writer would be smart to check with this person on numerous high major recruits. From an ISU perspective, TJ probably thought he was the pick and began contacting possible staff hires, to include Smith. He probably later told him that TJs hire, to include Smith's asst position, was put on hold based on Press Leath.
Not sure this means much, although my guess is that, if I am correct, both JP and Leath think the leak was from team TJ.
