Monday before the game, I was visiting with a guy that played with Jerry Moses at Waterloo East back in the day and he told me something pretty great:
Jerry had an offer from Bear Bryant to play at Alabama and if he would have signed, he would have been the first black football player for the Tide. Moses went to ISU, but the following year (1971), Bama signed two black athletes. It's hard to imagine that was only 45 years ago.
