I've watched lots of sports today without a single point being scored

I watched the ISU soccer game tonight against TCU. It went two overtimes and ended up as a 0-0 tie. I don't understand soccer. It looks like a continuous game of turnovers.

Now I'm watching the Cub-Giants playoff baseball game. Seven innings are complete without a score. I like defensive battles, but after watching hours of scoreless competition, by interest is starting to wane.
