till the game obviously!
Easy drive down from the cities. Got to Jack Trice about 2:30 and headed over to a tailgate with friends in D3 that I hadn't seen since last season and all were well. During the tailgate my wife went over a couple of RV's and came back and showed me a selfie of her and her new boyfriend. I looked and said "that's Georges Niang!" Apparently Morris, Thomas, Niang and a recruit were tailgating in D3. Looked at Niang and that guy is a rail compared to what he used to look like. One tailgater said he has lost another 20-30lbs. Anybody know more about that???
Went over to the 76 team reunion to find Sy Basset. Walked right by him and didn't recognize him. My wife asked a table of guys were he was sitting an Sy was one of them and I'm standing right next him.
So I just introduced myself to him after 40 years and reminded him I'm the guy that loaned him my car so he could go back to Ellsworth to get his MVP award 40 years ago and he lite right up and we started talking about the old crew. Good time.
