Seems that Georgia, Wisconsin, and Nevada already have Biden locked in, and supposedly the only way to switch him legally on the ballot is he must either die, or be removed by the 25th amendment. Many other states are going to be locked in in the next several weeks, most before the convention. Biden actually was preparing to do a virtual acceptance of the democratic nomination long before the convention, just to meet the legal requirements of these states.
So if the democrats move to replace Biden today, they effectively give Trump Wisconsin, Nevada, and Georgia. Game over.
