I think it would be a nice gesture from ISU to come out with some type of official sympathy statement about the injury. Something to the effect "ISU is truly sorry Randy was injured in Hilton Coliseum. He has covered ISU sports for X number of years. The coaches and players have gotten to know Randy over the years and respect his hard work. We hope he has a complete recovery." Something along those lines. Nothing about exact details, storming the court, cables. Just sympathy that he suffered a bad injury. He seems to be taking it well and not trying to blame anyone. Maybe have players visit him, send gift. I think that would go a long way and may diffuse the situation. But most importantly, the right thing to do.
