“He didn’t miss a practice,” North Dakota State coach Chris Klieman said Friday. “He came out every day and prepared himself. Sometimes kids will take a day off or even a week off. We played a 16-game season, and he didn’t have a bad football game.”
He had a lot of really good ones.
Emanuel had 19½ sacks his senior season, plus 13 more tackles for loss. Those totals included two sacks, nine tackles and four hurries against Iowa State, an FBS school that the Bison beat, 34-14.
He finished his career with 41 sacks and 59½ tackles for loss.
