From the weekly Big 12 Release-

Senior guard Monte Morris led Iowa State with 15 points against Cincinnati, his 71st
career game in double figures. He also notched his 592nd career assist, moving
into a tie for fourth on the all-time school list (Jacy Holloway).

ISU’s 54 points versus the Bearcats were its fewest since Jan. 23, 2013 (51 at Texas
Tech), fewest in Hilton Coliseum since Feb. 21, 2009 (46 vs. Kansas State), and
fewest in an overtime game since Jan. 22, 2005 (52 vs. Colorado).

Iowa State is 25-3 under head coach Steve Prohm when leading at halftime,
including 11 consecutive victories. The Cyclones are also 16-1 in the Prohm era
when holding their opponent to under 70 points.

Comments-

How come Fred couldn't simply overpower TT in 2013 when ISU scored only 51? WTF?

It is also the first loss under Prohm when ISU held an opponent below 70. Which means, for most sane fans, that when ISU holds teams to below 70, it wins almost every time. And I believe that will still hold true, most of the time, even without Niang. Margin for error is lessened of course, but when you hold teams down, and you can score above average most of the time, the result is a victory, lots more often than not.
