Isn't there 40 seconds allowed between plays after the whistle is blown? If so....
1st down, take a knee, 3 seconds for the play, take a knee, lose 3 yards, KSU timeout, 88 seconds left
2nd down, ball at KSU 47, 88 seconds left, take a knee (run off off 3 seconds for the play), 85 seconds left
3rd down, run off 39 seconds before snapping the ball on 3rd down with 46 seconds left, take a knee with 3 yd loss, 3 seconds for the play, ball at the 50, take a delay of game with 6 seconds left, ball at ISU 45
4th down, punt the ball out of bounds to the KSU 20, 2 seconds left, make them drive the field in 2 seconds, I like our chances
Of course, in this scenario, probably a blocked kick, KSU picks up the ball and returns for a TD, tie game, we lose in overtime
It's really astounding how we find ways to lose games....
I'm still a die hard ISU fan
