Is Cincinnati the strongest candidate?

A lot of folks have BYU at the top of the expansion list. There are a lot of good reasons for that. A group of folks also think if BYU is added that it makes sense to add someone like Colorado State as a regional partner. I don't think that will happen because of strong opposition from West Virginia.

It takes 8 of the 10 presidents to approve a school for expansion. WVU has limited opportunity to get off an island and this is the time to take a strong position. WVU may lobby hard for someone like Cincinnati to get in and may find allies in Iowa State and possibly the Kansas schools. It seems to me that if Cincinnati checks all the right boxes that they may be the strongest candidate for expansion. Not because they are everyone's favorite, but because they have the least opposition.
