Just listened to the Herd on Espn and of course he made the typical comments that it was obvious that Thibs would be fired because he didn't "communicate" with management. While I knew there was tension, I wasn't aware that Thibs apparently didn't speak to Reinsdorf for 4 months. Of course, Cowherd was totally on the Bulls front office's side. So, the irony.... while I think Fred has always answered the tough questions throughout the basketball seasons here, I do find it ironic that he has remained absolutely silent since a tweet leaving Mayo. Don't get me wrong, he's recovering, and rightly so deserved absolute privacy. Plus, he couldn't talk about 'rumors' or a job that hadn't been open. But, how about a tweet congrats to Daniel and Dustin during graduation? Or a good luck to the ISU athletic dept. as they headed out to be with the great fans during the Cyclone Bus Tour? Heck, maybe even a follow-up to his well wishers that he was doing okay in his recovery? No.....Nothing. After all, we were all very concerned about his health. Now, was I expecting media and fans to get basketball 'info'? Heck no. All I'm saying, is that I do hope he and Pollard have been talking. And he and the staff & players. And I mean A LOT. Afterall, the Bulls are expecting trust, a certain culture, and most of all communication. I'm going to go on the assumption that he has been talking to these people. Surely he has.
