Fourth Quarter:

The Longhorn offense continued its swoon throughout the final 15 minutes of the game and went three-and-out in five of six possessions at one point.

ISU put the exclamation point on with one of its most dominant offensive possessions in recent history, going 10 plays and 60 yards but more importantly eating up 6:08 of clock in doing so. Mike Warren rushed four times for 21 yards, while Joel Lanning 3-of-3 passes for 41 yards. It was Joshua Thomas who put the dagger in Texas with a one-yard scoring run, making it 24-0 with 2:10 left to play.

Texas went into its two-minute offense trying to at least put some points on the board, driving clear to the Cyclone five-yard line and facing a 4th-and-5 with five seconds left. Tyrone Swoopes pass to the corner of the end zone fell incomplete after some great coverage from Qujuan Floyd and Nigel Tribune, clinching a 24-0 shutout victory by ISU.

Advantage: Iowa State.
