Third Quarter:

Following up on a three-and-out from the Cyclone offense to open the second half, Oklahoma took advantage by putting points on the board. The Sooners ran 15 plays and exhausted 7:37 of clock before having to settle on a 36-yard field goal from Austin Seibert.

Perhaps the biggest key play on ISU’s side was a Jhaustin Thomas sack of Baker Mayfield on a 3rd-and-5 which brought out the kicking team. The Sooners opened up a 31-17 lead with 5:50 left in the quarter.

I-State went three-and-out for the second consecutive time in the second half, before punting back to the Sooners. OU took over possession at its own 16-yard line following the Colin Downing punt.

Mayfield and company could not get going either, picking up one first down before Willie Harvey came up with a big sack on 3rd-and-6 to bring out the punt teams.

Advantage: Oklahoma.
