I just ordered my tickets for the Iowa State Day at the Kernels. Below is the text from the email advertising the event. Be there or be square.
IT'S THE BIGGEST IOWA STATE EVENT OF THE YEAR IN LINN & JOHNSON COUNTIES!
See you Friday, June 28 for Iowa State Day at the Kernels. Cheer on the Cedar Rapids Kernels as they take on Wisconsin in Minor League Baseball action at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids. The Kernels players will be sporting special ISU jerseys that will be auctioned off to raise money for the ISU General Scholarship Fund. It should be a great night at the ballpark with Cyclones everywhere supporting Iowa State. Wear your Cyclone gear to the game!
First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m., and gates open at 5:30 p.m. Look for the ISU table outside of the stadium to pick up your tickets and say hello to your fellow Cyclones!
All-you-can-eat-and-drink Pavilion tickets are available to Iowa Staters for $35/each (only $25/each for ISU Alumni Association members). Children 5 and under are free. You can also purchase regular game tickets for $8/each, which is a $4 savings off the regular box-office price.
