Iowa St - Cross Country

The Iowa St Cross Country teams should be stacked again this year.

Last year the ladies team won another Big 12 Title while also finishing #2 at the NCAA National Meet. They have won the last 4 Big 12 titles and 5 Midwest Regionals. They do lose their top few runners and should drop off a little, but still have a lot of young talent returning and would be surprised if they aren't back at the NCAA National Meet again.

The mens team was young last year and finished runner up in the Big 12. They narrowly missed out on an NCAA at large bid after finishing 3rd at the Regionals. They have almost everyone back and should be in line for about 3 years where they will be ranked inside the top 25 with a potential shot at the top 5/10 in next year. Their recruiting the past 2-3 years has been near the top in the national.
