The highlights included:
In addition to the rules established and made public, the following MUST be applied in all cases. No exceptions will be made
- Alabama shall be given every consideration and included if they have 2 or fewer losses. If possible, that may be expanded. ALWAYS refer to rule 1.
- Ohio State shall be included if there is anyway possible, but NEVER at the expense of rule 1.
- The final list must be approved by a select panel at ESPN, but they too, must honor rule 1. They may override the committee if somehow the committee does not apply rule 1 or rule 2, if available.
- If Alabama and Ohio State finish second in their division and their division champion with the respective title wins the overall Conference title, they will be elevated per rules 1 and 2.
- If Alabama and Ohio State finish second in their division, and their division winner does not win the Conference Championship, Rule 1 and Rule 2 will be enforced using criteria as Strength of Schedule or the ubiquitous Eye Test.
- Should at any time the Official Spokesperson show any hesitancy on the enforcement of the rules, he shall be reminded of terms like Rhabdomylosis, Section 8 housing, and Chris Doyle. Should take care of any situation.
- The only exception to any of the above shall be if Notre Dame is undefeated. Hail Mary, Full of Grace,....
