Since Iowa State became the first to offer a Class of 2020 offensive lineman, the prospect has gone on to pick up ones from five more programs.

The Cyclone coaching staff will get another opportunity this weekend to make a good impression on Jefferson (Iowa) Greene County big man Tyler Miller, who secured an offer back in the winter.

“I’m looking forward to going to the game and will probably go with my parents,” said Miller. “I’m looking forward to catching up with the coaches. I have already been on some facilities tours, so this will mainly just be about the game.

“Since this will be Jeff Myers’ first game as offensive line coach, I’m anxious to see how the game is going to go with he and his guys. I know they’ll have three guys graduating (before I get there). I also have an offer SDSU, so it’ll be interesting to watch them play against Iowa State.”

Miller has emerged as a borderline four-star prospect, as he was assigned a 5.7 Rivals rating along with being ranked the 31st overall tackle in the country. He’s also gotten P5 offers from Nebraska and Purdue, along with ones from G5 programs Cincinnati and UCF.

The 6-foot-8, 270-pound Miller also traveled to Ames over the summer to hone his craft as a lineman.

“The last time I was at Iowa State was for the Big Man Camp and I really got a lot out of that,” he said. “I worked on my run blocking technique that they’re teaching. I worked on how my hands are placed and the fits. I’m also helping coach up the rest of our linemen.”

At least three other P5 programs could also get unofficial visits from Miller this fall.

“I’ll probably end up going to a Nebraska game later in the season,” he said. “I’ve also been invited to a Notre Dame game, so I’m going to try to get over there. I got a game information sheet from Michigan State. That’s about it for right now.”
