Rather than posting this on the original and long weather thread, I thought I would place it as a new post so that everyone can easily see it.
The system is drying out quicker than previously thought. Therefore, please subtract 1-2 inches on total snow accumulations for basically all of the eastern 2/3 of the state. The forecast for western IA is fine. They will have ended up with about 2-4 inches of snow as a general rule. Please also subtract a couple inches inches from the forecast issued late this morning for a place like Rochester, MN. I think the very first forecast I gave you yesterday will turn out to be the most accurate when all said and done.
