UNI and Illinois State a split last year. Each winning on their home field with very similar margin of victories
Illinois State has a total of 14 new regular starters. Seven on defense and seven on offense. Three of those had a few starts due to injury last year but were not regular starters.
UNI had 11 nee starters and half of them had previous starting experience.
Preseason rankings areblazy rankings in general. The media looks at how last year ends then goes from there. It is even worse with lightly covered FCS.
I am not saying Illinois State is better or worse than UNI
