1998
Was an 8th grader. Couldn't wait to get to school on Monday. The punt block was fun and gave me the "so, you're sayin theres a chance" feel. Then, after the Stensrud 4th and 1 conversion, it was like "we're actually going to be beat these d-heads."
This is way underrated by my generation and younger. They don't understand the gap that once existed. This is also why MAC is often under appreciated.
2002
Senior in HS. Drove to game with buddies. This was my first exposure to IC, UI campus, hawkeye gameday. I thought my hometown tavern hawks were bad, I was greeted very rudely many times over by the Chicago Suburb ralph lauren hawk. Helped develop the hate further. Anywho, Seneca / Brad Butterfingers / Brandon Brown stripping Hinkel / Mac vigorously pounding his heart on the sidelines. A great day.
2005
Was a student, climbed on to the goal post donning a fake cop hat. Warm Day. That and consuming made it a tough one on the body. All worth it. Berryman was good. Austin Flynn w/ opening TD. Nik Moser w/ key strip. Tough Kids.
