Understand why the ISU fan base has grown over the last 7 years. I'll list them.
1. Having a coach that showed his desire to be at ISU. Proud of it.
2. Was aggressive in going on 4th downs and fake plays.
3. Started upsetting teams with more talent. No game was an expected loss.
4. Beat Iowa regularly
That coach became more conservative over time and a bad recruiting year or two cost him his job. None of that changes why ISU fans started showing up in numbers never seen before.
There is a very naive group of people on this board if you think at least some of the things dont have to be evident at some point in the in the near future for those numbers of fans to stay decent.
