A variety called Opal....I had never seen it at HyVee before, and I always enjoy giving new apples a try.
Strange thing about it? It is BRIGHT yellow. I've never seen an apple like it.
I ate one tonight and it was good...pretty sweet.
Kinda pricey at 2.99/lb., but they aren't a huge apple like some Honeycrisps. Some of those almost weigh a pound on their own. This Opal is a perfect medium size.
