I had already sent the canned message created by ISU to my legislators regarding the Performance Based Funding issue. Despite already sending a message, the emails from ISU encouraging alumni to write their representatives have not stopped. So I decided to send another message.
This time I didn't use their canned text. Instead I simply asked where they stood on the Performance Based Funding issue and what their reason were for the position they took. I did not indicate in this message whether where I stood on the issue, but they could probably guess. If I get a response it will either give me the opportunity to thank them if they support it, or to challenge their position if they are against it.
I think we need to keep the heat up on this issue. It is critical the funding model get fixed and end the unfair situation that has existed for far too long.
