I don't like being 0-2 like everyone on this board. IMHO, most of this can be put on CPR. The Okie State 2011 game should have been his springboard to success. He blew that like a virgin on prom night in regards to recruiting. His oline and dline recruiting was basically shit, and it shows. Football starts in the trenches, and we have very little and young talent in these positions. Qb is also vital- Lanning is athletic, but should be a linebacker or DE right now. His decision making and mechanics suck. Our main linebackers from last year are gone due to injuries and in Harris's case, probably attitude, don't know, but gone. We beat ourselves against UNI, no doubt with penalties and turnovers, but Iowa is a decent to good team with an established system- we had no chance with this roster. I've coached football at lower levels, and by no means a football expert. When you have teams with little talent, it's hard to implement your system. Campbell has been successful at every stop he's had coaching. I told people today remember Freerent's first year- Raisin Face left a bare cupboard, it was a rough year. He built good lines on both sides of the ball, and found a competent QB, success followed. Give Campbell time.
