Beat Iowa 4 of the 7 years and not lose to other non-conference opponents. That is a 42-46 record with a winning percentage of 47.7 %. [Also note this is not an endorsement of Mac, even though it approximates his last 7 years. I am on record of believing Mac had to go for a variety of reasons.]
Would really like to know if this is acceptable. As a reference, CPR is 31-51 37.8%. 8 more wins (1.2 a year) gets him to that same percentage. The mountain is not that high if the hypothetical scenario is acceptable.
