I have gone to hundreds of sporting events since I graduated over 40 years ago. I've been to the Memorial Union, Scheman, Lied and the Alumni Center, but have never walked on central campus or returned to any buildings where I once attended class. I have never visited any of the dorms where I once lived. The single exception was when I went to see the butter cow a few years ago. But it was not in a building or even near an area of campus where I walked to my classes.
I have always thought I would like to take a walk on campus and visit the library and some of the campus buildings where I once had classes. I just never seem to have time for that. Are the buildings even open to the general public? Can you walk through the halls of the dorms or get access to State Gym?
How many of you alumni have returned to class buildings or dorms? I'm guess some have done that with their ISU kids or frat house, but does anyone return on their own just to visit?
