I heard something on the radio today that put things in perspective a little regarding the monumental task that is surviving the NCAA tournament. Dean Smith won ONE National title without MJ (two total). We have a few active extremely successful coaches and programs that have been racking up a few, making it seem an easier task whereas many thousands of coaches have come and gone without one over the last 50 years.
