How does political "bias" impact your view relative to sports?

It's been increasing for years. I, for one, would much rather keep sports, sports (in, around and on the "field") and not use them as a platform for other things.

I don't have a problem with anyone expressing their personal opinions. But, I am really growing weary of having to wade thru having their personal views, especially on "politics", shoved down my throat.

How about we all stand up against the sex-trafficking of minors? Is that political in any way?

It would seem to me, one's views on the above should be pretty solid in agreement. This versus divergent views on whether all police are racists, duly authorized federal law enforcement officials are Nazi's and the like.

I have an Uncle who is buried in the American Cemetery in Cambridge, England. He was KIA at 23-years of age. He never got to marry, have a family, pursue his dreams or simply grow old.

Instead, he willingly gave his life to stop tyranny and provide the freedoms we enjoy today. I don't think it is asking too much to honor the sacrifices of his comrades in arms before breaking into tribes of dispute. It is their blood which enables our discourse. I think it more than appropriate to stand for our colors and the anthem. They all fought and died under them.

I have so enjoyed playing and watching sports my entire life. I haven't watched a single MLB game. I am willing to step away from sports as politics (NFL, etc.).

I can imagine many are thinking, just "shut the F' up!" I'm just tired of it. Thanks for listening. Booking my trip back to "Fantasy Island":)
