UT buddy asked me if the Nwankpu kid is the highest profile recruit ever to come out of the state? Now not the player who turned out to be the best prospect, nor not who ended up being the greatest.
The one who attracted the most recruiting buzz. One could make an argument he's ranked 1st at his pos. and 20th overall. I know in way back machine, I've heard Jerry Moses. More recently Tavian Banks. I remember some knucklehead 6'8" O-lineman rated No.1 back in the mid-90's? Ended up a bust.
