Last Spring, Harley Kirsch, and his family, made a trip to Iowa and visited with the Cyclone football coaches. Since that time, I have been following his football career (at Eastside Catholic, of Bellevue, Washington). According to a Rivals article, from back in September, Coach Sturdy has been maintaining contact with Harley Kirsch. Harley Kirsch QB'd his high school team to a state championship, defeating Bellevue High School 35-13. That snapped Bellevue's 67 game winning streak. In that championship game, Kirsch was 20 of 22 passing, for 188 yards and 2 touchdowns (91% completion rate, with a 143.8 QB rating). He also ran for 94 yards.
Needless to say, Kirsch is a hot commodity in the high school football recruiting world and he has apparently decided that he does not want to play that game. The linked article explains what he plans to do.
I just hope that we are still on "his" list. Good Luck, Harley.
