It sure seems to me in watching a little football across the country, that the Halo ruling is not being enforced to the extent of the ruling as in the past or is it just me? Sure seems there is a lot of people in the face of the punt receiver (well inside the restricted 2 yards) lately.

Yesterday...I thought I saw what was targeting by baylor against okie state in the first half. It seemed like the baylor guy lead with his helmet as the okie state QB was in a slide. Reviewed, but no call. (I know a baylor thug got called out later for his 2nd targeting offense of the year.) Last night (the video seemed clear to me) that a michigan player targeted the small back from penn state (pretty obvious helmet to helmet) in one of the last plays of the game. They reviewed the play to see if the penn state's player knee was down for a first down (to seal the deal), but it seemed obvious to me they were blind to the targeting.

I know not all of the helmet hits are intentional (it is fast paced football for goodness sake), but it seems that targeting is so subjective right now. It just seems that there has been some blatant calls let go and some incidental (so called targeting) enforced.....and it depends on if the team is elite or not if they want to call it.
