I hear that salons and barbershops can re-open, by appointment, with social distancing, with mask...on Friday May 15th in Iowa.
(shut down occurred mid-March. Hair grows (not in all cases) about a 1/2 inch per month. )
patience will be a virtue...
A lot of people want haircuts, etc. A lot.
And no, not everyone can be done during the same hour, let a lone the same week (or 2).
It will take a while to catch up with the backlog of work - with the exception of those that want to opt out of a haircut and go with an ongoing, ever changing, new,(or old pandemic) look.
Not sure when an appointment time will open up...(maybe there will be some reluctant to go ..and that could help to space the (appointment) on-rush out? ) but, it will get done, over time.
To each his or her own.
p.s. maybe some (pandemic) hair clippings should be kept as a souvenir of the time?
