I was thinking about this....

I almost called into the show and someone asked the question....

The caller asked if the staff has a play ready to go in case they need to snap the ball quickly and not let a play get reviewed. We have not talked about this on the board because everyone was focused on the decision to punt instead of going for it. I thought it during the game and was thinking about it when the caller asked the question.

CPR said that Todd Sturdy was calling down from the the coaches box to get a play in and the ball snapped before the call could be reviewed. I don't think CPR gave a good answer because he made it sound like they did not understand why Sturdy was telling them to get a play in and get the ball snapped. CPR explained it away as they do have those plays ready to go but it is not as easy at it sounds because they have a first and ten play ready to go and a say a second and five play ready to go.....which does not hold water because it was a first and ten play,

I think they f'd up there and judging from CPR's answer they think it because he kind of stumbled through his explanation. Had they got the ball snapped quickly the Punt, or going for it , would be moot and ISU would have had a new set of downs to work with.
