I've gone to a couple of high school graduation parties in the last couple of weeks. Last night I went to one where I saw some old friends that I hadn't see in two or three decades. One of them was the wealthy guy I've mentioned on this board before. He lives in a big mansion that is visible from highway 30 if you know where and when to look. This was an older place that he bought when we were running around in our 20's. He totally remodeled the place and added on to it. The place was a showcase. He has hosted senators, presidential candidates and other notables in the past.

At the graduation party I talked to him for quite a while for the first time in decades. I was surprised that he tore down the huge multi-story mansion and built a new place on the property. I've got pictures of his old property below.

His new place is one story. I'm not sure if it's visible from highway 30, but I think it probably is because I think you could see a rail car he has near his lake. Or at least you used to be able to see it. Maybe it's obscured by trees now.

I saw many others old friends that I hadn't seen in a long time. Some so long I hardly recognized them. It's surprising how old people get while I just stay the same. 🤭
