According to an AP story in todays Waterloo Courier, a goat which was in a research program on joint injuries, ouch, escaped and was on the loose for 10 days in Iowa City. The goat was put down, following the research project protocol, when it was captured. One wonders which was worse for the poor animal, having it's joints repeatedly bent the wrong way, or the 10 days running from you know what on the streets of Iowa City.
